Step 3 – Invite your Colleagues, Family, Friends and Friends of Friends of Friends!

Make your guest list! And then add some more! Acceptance rates may vary but be sure to invite more than you think will attend.

We suggest you use a great online invite site called Purple Trail. We’ve created a template invitation for you to use, and with Purple Trail you can send out a message through Facebook as well. Follow the steps below.

	1.	Go to www.purpletrail.com and click in the top right corner to Sign-Up.
	2.	After you have completed the Sign-Up, click on the tab “Community Designs” and choose “Search”
	3.	In the search box enter “Harambee” and click search.
	4.	Click to choose one of the three designs. When the design loads, there will be an “Online” box underneath it - choose the “Invitation” button.
	5.	Click “USE DESIGN AS IS” and insert the details (don’t choose Personalise, that will take you into the design). For the “Event Tagline” you can use: A Day Makes a World of Difference. For the “What is it about”, you can cut and paste this description: Give A Day to World AIDS is a grassroots movement that proposes that we recognize World AIDS Day, December 1ST, each year by giving one day’s income to an organization that will use the money well in the fight against AIDS. Recipient organizations are Dignitas International and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Come enjoy an (afternoon, evening) of great food, good company and inspiration. All donations will be gratefully accepted.
	6.	To let Give a Day know you are hosting a Haramabee please add Julie – coordinator@giveaday.ca to your invite list. This doesn’t mean she’ll be attending all the events, but does mean she will get in touch with you upon receiving the invite to forward you an order form and answer any questions you may have.

If you choose not to use the invite service, but wish to invite friends by email, you can use this email and invitation template to customise and send.
